Bail Appeal Hearing for Alex Downtown LA Federal Courthouse
Justice begins with bail for Alex – Alex's bail appeal hearing is scheduled for October 19th, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. We will gather for in support of Alex beginning at 12pm at the Fletcher Bowron Square, on the corner of Main and Temple.
Please join us from 12pm through the announcement of the Judge’s ruling for an afternoon. The ruling will be announced after the 1:30 p.m. hearing. We hope you will join us! WE ARE ALEX.

A Fair Trial Starts With Bail |

This is it. On Monday October 19th, Alex's bail hearing will resume.
As guarantee that Alex does not pose a flight risk or danger to the community, we have asked the court to consider the overwhelming support from the community itself that has raised over $2.5 million in sureties and property deeds. In addition, the court has in hand, over 120 letters testifying to Alex's exemplary character from prominent national and local leaders and agencies, renowned academics, law enforcement officials, and peace workers, including former federal prosecutor Robert Garcia and Tom Parker, the past head of the FBI in Los Angeles.
In a case like Alex's, the public's first response is to automatically shun the accused. This has not been the case for Alex Sanchez. Despite serious allegations, Alex is still considered an indispensable leader for many communities throughout the country who believe firmly in his innocence.
